In about 24 hours time, we'll be unloading the van at the Liquid Rooms in Edinburgh

We hope to see as many of you as can make it tomorrow, and look forward to
hearing from you when we do. There are some tickets available on the door too,
so get your friends along too!

3 to go
November 01, 2004 4:11 pm GMT
3 days to go to the final gig!
We have been recalling some fun times over the past 6 1/2 years.
One of the most bizzare pre or post gig activity was snowball fights and sledging.
It was quite common for the IE tour van to trek cross country through the snow.
We can't promise any sledging on wednesday night but you never know it may
snow for the last IE gig.
Keep checking the news page as we will be updating you with some news about
i-tunes soon.
Hope you have your tickets for the gig?
See you soon,

IE Announcement
August 31, 2004 8:22 am GMT
For over 6 years, IndigoEcho have been on a journey of changes. Their sound
has moved on from the fragile embryonic stages to something that is able
to walk and talk for itself.
After many gigs, recording sessions and miles travelling around Europe, IndigoEcho
will be playing their last gig in Edinburgh in November.
This decision has not been taken lightly and comes after some incredible opportunities
over the last few years. The guys are all moving on with the conviction that
this is right in God’s timing. ‘We have had an amazing journey together and
we have seen God at work all over the UK and Ireland’ said Clive Parnell (vocals
and guitar), ‘We want to go out on a high and gather people together for one
final gig in Edinburgh’
It all kicked off in 1998, when Parnell (Guitars and Vocals) called up Gary
Francis (Bass) and Andy Weir (Drums and Vocal) to help him out for a night.
They enjoyed the experience and worked on a few tunes together. Before long,
the gigs were coming in and they recruited Rik Brown (Guitars) to bring balance
to the formation.
“Every gig is a cup final,” says Drummer Andy Weir “so we go out on stage to
give it our all”. They have always played like it’s their last ever gig – this
time it will be.
Indigoecho’s last will also be a homecoming gig in Edinburgh’s Liquid Rooms
on 3 November 2004 - Scottish singer-songwriter ‘Yvonne Lyon’ will support
the band.
You are all invited to be part of the end of the IE journey, for one last time
you can share in the spirit-fused stage presence of this band.
Tickets for this event will be available soon at £5 (£4 concession) - check
the website for more information. The event is supported by ‘Tear fund’ and
will be highlighting the ‘lift the label’ campaign.
To signify the closing of this chapter, IndigoEcho will be offering their Back
Catalogue of CDs for reduced prices between now and the last gig – all albums £5,
all t-shirts £6 and the single will be available for only £1. A new shopping
cart will be online soon, but we wanted to tell you guys the news sooner rather
than later.
Keep in touch

go for it.
Ok check the gig guide for news of a couple of great gigs coming up soon.

London calling - soul in the city
June 25, 2004 11:03 am GMT
Hi everyone,
Hope you are coping with the summer rain and football fever.
After 6 years of playing gigs in the Uk, London is calling.
No we are not packing our bags and moving to the big smoke but we are playing
two gigs in London.
We are really pleased to be playing at 'soul in the city' www.soulinthecity.co.uk
This is a massive outreach organised by Soul survivor and many other agencies.
We will be playing at Notting hill community church on August 5th 2004.
If you are down south come along. If you are not down south jump on a plane/train
and get involved.
We will also be playing at 'Kensington Temple' on August 6th 2004.
So no excuses to all you people down south, come and send it higher.
Lets hear your news, reviews on the guestbook.

Frisbees are out for the summer
June 18, 2004 9:32 am GMT
We had three great gigs in the sun last weekend.
It was so sunny at Crossover that we even got the frisbee out.
Rik had to climb on to a roof to retrieve the frisbee when the 'As if' drummer
missed a beat and throw it onto the top of one of the buildings, Rik saved
the day.
Another non-music fact is that we sadly lost our five a side football match
against 'Aquitted' doh.
However a promising new striker emerged in the form of 'Gary bass man francis'.
Music
we played a full-fat gig at Crossover on the friday and we were really pleased
with how it went.
The new songs are now sitting nicely in the set and 'Satisfy' seems to touch
people's hearts as the spirit moves.
Saturday night's gig saw more of a semi-acoustic set and a few more chilled
numbers with a little extra groove.
Glasgow
We played at Kirkintilloch and it was good to meet up with Rae again.
The tec boys did a great job and made a good live recording, watch out for
bootlegs!
It was good to play to a new audience and we will be back in the autumn Kirky.
We will be having a break in July but gigs are coming together for August/Septmeber
so keep checking the gig page.
Take care

We are sailing
June 07, 2004 10:16 am GMT
We are saling, well not quite.
1/2 of IE played at the Doulous Ship docked in Edinburgh next to the Royal
Britannia last night.
I think this is the first time we have ever played a gig in a ship.
Thanks to all the crew and if you are in Edinburgh be sure to go and check
out the ship.
Crossover
We are looking forward to playing at Crossover this weekend, June 11-12.
We are playing a full-fat gig on Friday night and an acoustic gig on the Saturday
night.
Both gigs are late night, which lets face it are the best atmospheric gigs.
(don't know why?)
For more details check the gig page.
Glasgow
On sunday 13 June we are playing in Glasgow again check the gig page or e-mail
us for more details.
Ireland
We will also be playing in Ireland in the summer at the Tara festival, details
to follow.
thats it for now, see you soon

something fishy is going on
May 06, 2004 1:07 pm GMT
Hello,
We played to 500 people last sunday in a fish market.
This is a first for IE.
It was great to see so many people there up for a good night.
We even tasted the local fish with some chips of course.
Thanks to those who put the gig on and we pray God continues to shine his light
in the North East.
Special round of applause to Rik who had just completed a 'bike and hike' the
day before.
He travelled over 50 miles ouch!
We are back in the driving seat and are working on our new songs over the mext
few weeks.
We will be doing some demos and working on new material.
Look forward to seeing you all at the sunny Crossover festival.
Thanks

The sun is out, time for a new IE t-shirt
April 26, 2004 11:11 am GMT
Hi there
Hope you are enjoying the Sun? (that is if you are in the UK).
If you are into IE and you live outside the UK please let us know we can name
you as the furthest away fan.
Rik has been busy on the design front and has produced a great new IE t-shirt.(there
is a guys and girls version)
They should be ready soon so if you are at a gig bring a few extra pennys.
Keep check the website as i am sure they will be displayed there in the not
too distant future.
We are really looking to playing at 'revolution' this sunday. It is going to
be amazing with 800-1000 people expected.
It is great to see people so focused on putting on a great event and giving
God the glory.
Please come along it is well worth a drive, train journey or flight to this
one.
We are building up the gigs for the summer and Autumn/fall so keep checking
the gigs page.
See you soon

i'm fed up with plastic
April 08, 2004 7:58 pm GMT
Hi y'all.
It's been a few weeks, so here we are, saying howdy-doody.
What's been going on with you? (thanks to those who have said "hi" on the guestbook!).
New track "Plastic" has now made it's full band debut - to good reviews.
Also, last week, were in Crieff at the Logos Cafe. We ended up doing a full-band
line up, when they were expecting just a nice, light acoustic affair. We didn't
rock the place (too much) but it was nice to let the music out again. Thanks
to the team there for a good night.
It's a few weeks of for us -
Rik (not one for half-hearted efforts) is getting ready to leap tall buildings
in a single bound - he's fed up with being the Hulk and fancies a shot at Superman.
We'll keep him away from the Spandex.
Andy is probably getting his hands dirty in the garden (life's all Rock 'n'
Roll at the Weir's, y'know.
Gary's getting his head round his new PC while Clive...Clive is in Hungary.
Don't ask.
We're keeping our ears open for some new gigs - we'll let you know when they
are.
So, until Revolution in Fraserburgh - Keep it IE and keep in touch.
Peace
IE.
Education for the Nation
April 01, 2004 9:57 am GMT
Hi everyone,
We went back to school for a day last week and managed to avoid getting a detention.
We played a gig at 'williamwood' near Glasgow and it was a great night.
Thanks to all the pupils who put on the event.
It is great to see people taking a stand for God in School.
If you were at the gig let us know what you thought of it.
Williamwood were the first crowd to hear a new IE tune 'plastic'. If you come
to a gig soon i am sure you will hear this melodic number coming your way.
Ok, were off to 'crieff' tonight so we may see you there.
keep running the race,

Hi
Just to say thanks to all the people who came along to the gig in Aberdeen.
It was great to see people travelling from places an hour away from the city,
thanks for that.
It was a great night and good to work with truth-promotions.
What makes a gig a good one?
I think it is often when the crowd are up for it and are with the band.
The Aberdeen crowd were up for it and wanting to send the Glory higher.
It was great to know that the spirit was moving and we are so grateful for
that.
Rik got so caught up in the gig that he ended up going for a walk with this
guitar to the balcony, (look no lead) got to love it.
See you again Aberdeen.

do you want it for free?
March 03, 2004 7:01 pm GMT
Well, today you can.
We've giving away three free MP3s on the tunes page.
We had a great time last weekend - Andy, Clive and Rik even got some quality
sledging in as well. Thanks to Tesco, Liz and Al!
Rik even got sunburnt. Unbelievable!
Check out the Aberdeen gig on Saturday if you can - we'd love to see you there!
Check it.

It has been good to play some acoustic sets in Uni's recently.
Thanks to everyone at Heriot watt, Edinburgh Uni and Glasgow Uni.
It has also been good to see 'cully' out there playing his tunes.(when he gets

These semi-skimmed gigs have been encouraging people to think about life.
What is it all about? What are we here for?
Our answer is found through Jesus we have 'life in all its fullness'.

We are looking forward to a few IE gigs in the next week.
It will be great working with Ten10 and Tearfund in Inverness and Aberdeen,

Running the race
February 10, 2004 9:56 am GMT
Hi everyone,
How are you all doing?
I am currently listening to 'Snow Patrol' on my CD player while writing this.
I am aware that this band have been going for a few years and its only now
i am listening to their cd.
Being in a band involves hard graft, plugging away, trying to write the best
songs you can, playing the best you can at gigs.
It sometimes involves putting amps and PA into vans at 1 in the morning!
It maybe that you have only just heard of 'Indigoecho',welcome.
It could be you have seen us play in all kinds of places thanks.
This whole journey is like life itself.
It is a race, not a sprint, a marathon.
I am reminded when working on new songs like we were last night, that we are
in training like athletes.
Fortunately are coach is not 'Gerrad Houllier' but God in Heaven himself.
Keep on running,
CP

Thanks to everybody who came along to the gig for 'carpathaid' on Saturday.
It is great to be able to support people who are trying to make a difference
in the world.
This is what is all about.
It was great to hear and meet '3hourswasted' and 'Opal Sky'.
'satisfy' took on a life of its own on saturday night and the song is a gift
to us.
I am reminded when singing it that nothing in this world compares to the Love
of God.
We hope you enjoyed the song along with the others.
So next up.
If you are a student - Andy and myself are playing an acoustic set at 'Heriot
watt University', Edinburgh - Feb 4th 2004 doors open at 8pm
You may remember 'cully'? He will be playing an acoustic set too.
Ok thanks for now

Rocking around the Christmas tree
December 22, 2003 9:21 am GMT
Hi
We had a great night at the 'Corn Exchange' in Edinburgh.
Thanks to Kieren and everyone involved in organising the night.
It was a first in many ways.
First time we had played at the Corn Exchange;
First time I had played a gig with tinsel wrapped around the mic;
First time we had played with a Christmas tree on stage
First time we had left Or (I) had left an instrument behind -(it was found
safe and well)
Anyway the gig!
We are really grateful for two new-ish songs 'shine' and 'safisfy'.
'Satisfy' is taking on a life of its on and is a song that is full of emotion.
It is a song that gets the hairs on the back of our necks excited every time
we play it.
The sound and lights were great (thanks R3 ad SKL) there was a real energy
on stage and the crowd were pretty up for it.
If you have not been to a gig lately, come and check us out.
Check the gig page.
Have a great Christmas and New year,
Remember Christmas is about Jesus not that bloke in a red suit and a White
beard.

livingroom gig
December 15, 2003 5:44 pm GMT
A Living Room Gig! "What?" I here you say....
On Friday December 12 the Indigoecho convoy turned up to a student flat on
the South side of Edinburgh.
After a few guitars and one solitary amp were carried up five flights of stairs
we set up for a living room gig.
Why?
Edinburgh CU put on an event called 'art for mercy' where they raised over £2,000
for a Tear Fund HIV project.
They auctioned off paintings, drawings, photos and an exclusive IE gig in a
student flat.
We were happy to help out and turned up to the flat - the party had started.
(Happy Birthday Esther)
Thanks to all you great people for singing along and raising some cash for
Tear Fund.
Watch this space for Two gigs we are playing with Tear Fund and Ten10 in Feb
2004.

Life on the Road
October 19, 2003 10:18 pm GMT
3/4 of Indigoecho played an acoustic set at 'riverside' in Ayr last night.
We live in luxury when we are on the Road - an all day breakfast at Tesco's
for '£2.49' and a cuppa.
If you are ever in Ayr check it out.
After our tasty cuisine we played to a great bunch of young people.
It was good to see Rik playing some lead lines on an acoustic and to try some
different things vocally, (daniel beddingfield and Craig David watch out!)
I even saw Andy playing some bass lines on the acoustic - Jazz man
The bottom line is last night we were sending it up through our music.
We are returning our creativity to our creator.
Thanks to everyone in Ayr we will see you again with the full fat rock version
of IE next year.

Yes, it's official 'Autumn' is here (or if you are form across the atlantic

So how was your summer?
We had a good summer with lots of great gigs, but we've had a month off from
bass, drum, guitars and vocals.
A few new songs have been written and we are ready to work on new material
and remind ourselves of the old stuff!
We have a few gigs lined up, and will put them on the website this week so
keep checking the gig page.
Please keep your comments coming - maybe you have a review of 'illuminate'
or of a gig your saw us play at?
Send us it and it might well end up on our website.

All aboard with IE train...
August 23, 2003 9:19 am GMT
Where's the next stop? Who can say?
I am writing this on the (slow) IE computer the day after a great 'Edinburgh
Festival' gig.
The Summer of 2003 must go down as one of the best for IndigoEcho.
We have played in Ireland, at Clan Gathering in St Andrews, Aberdeen and Edinburgh
amongst other places.
We have met so many new people and have been inspired, encouraged and challenged.
What makes it all great is meeting you good people out there. There is nothing
better than being at a gig and seeing you all sing your hearts out.
We do this to encourage and inspire you. We want you to know that we are just
4 guys trying to do what we have been called to do.
It is great to see more people coming on board the IE train!
So what's next? Well there are many great things in store, and we will be telling
you about some of them very soon.
Look forward to seeing where we are led on this Journey.
Thanks for all your support,

Hi y'all
Well, we said we have been talking to some press recently and hear is the news....
An article about IndigoEcho and some of our friends in other bands will appear
in The Sunday Times on 29 June 2003.
It will only be in the Scottish Edition, so if you can, pop down to your nearest
newsagents and grab an Irn Bru (or some Milk) while you're there.
If you don't live in Scotland, you can check it out at www.timesonline.co.uk....which
is nice.
Keep taking it higher people and have a great summer. It would be great to
see you at one of our gigs in July or August!

The latest news
We have started to make the second IE video....oooo.
We are filming it in Edinburgh and have a couple of Actors involved too. While
they are not mainstream stars like Ewen McGregor or Cameron Diaz (their schedules
wouldn't fit in with ours) all will be revealed in due course.
We have had some Big Press interest recently, so we will keep you posted on
what the papers have to say!
The Summer gigs continue to come in and we will post them on the gigs page
so check that for updates.
Continue to let us know what you think of the band,
let us know about a gig you went to; what your favourite song is?

Hi,
Last week, we had a blast in Balerno - thanks for that.
Clive and Rik were on CrossRhythms radio this week - they also did a few press
interviews which should get out there soon. Rik is now the Incredible Hulk
AND Action Man!
Video stuff rolls along nicely - "the negotiations were short"....
We might do another surprise gig in June, but we'll try and keep you up to
date!
Take it easy,

Thanks to all of you who turned up to the gigs we did last week.
It was an interesting week to say the least....Here is a bit of a tour diary
-
Thursday 24 April
6pm
We loaded gear off to Powerpoint, Edinburgh - Rik is ill and has collapsed
at work and he had lost his balance. He went to hospital and was told he had
a middle ear infection (labarynthitis). Rik was told it could take up to 6
weeks to feel better again!
Friday 25 April
6pm
3/4 of Indigoecho meet to play at Powerpoint Edinburgh. Rik is in bed still
spinning. We SoundCheck and adapt set list to a three piece band. The event
goes well and the crowd sing along and make it a great night.
We plan our next three dates without Rik. We pray hoping Rik can get better.
Saturday 26 April
9am
Rik phones Andy "got room for one more?" as he feels better - A miracle, a
real Supernatural Day - The Incredible Hulk bounces back and we head off in
Our van and the red machine up to Aberdeen.
2pm
We get to the venue offload gear and partake in some Junk food and shopping
- we then soundcheck. We had a decent time chatting to 'the six' and to 'superhero'.
8.30pm
The crowd were up for it in Aberdeen as always and thanks to all of you who
came along and to Truth Promotions of course.
Day started at 9am finished at 12ish - nice shift
Sunday 27 April
2pm
Overnight luxury as we stayed with our friends in a town called 'Keith' - great
food and country air....joy. We head off to Perth taking the cross country
route cutting our way through the Highlands.
5.30pm
We arrive at Perth later than expected and and set up for the 'Flow' event.
8.30pm
We played two sets and the crowd were great. It was great to see some new faces.
Thanks to Chris and the 'smoke machine team'.
Home 12ish
Monday 28 April
5pm
Home gig in Edinburgh - meet to load up and off to Heriot Watt University.
A great venue at the Student Union. It was good to meet more new faces and
to chat with people from the CU afterwards.
Hopefully it looks like we could be back to play some more Union gigs.
Home 12ish and mission accomplished.
Thanks to everyone who came along and organised these gigs and we hope to see
you in the future.
3/4 of Indigoecho will be playing this Saturday at the opening of the 'lux'
venue in Motherwell (www.maranathacentre.org.uk).
It will be more treble than Bass as Gary is unable to make it.
Thanks
Keep using the guestbook let us know your thoughts...

Hi,
It's about time that I stuck some thoughts on the website - and here we are.
We're really looking forward to this weekend and the chance to get out and
meet new people and say hello to some familiar faces.
There are some new songs brewing and we'll see if they break cover over the
weekend.
As for other news, there's not a lot to share, but again, if you are interested
in the video let us know. We will be filming in Edinburgh in mid-May, so if
you are around and are up for some live IE antics, then drop us a line.
Thanks for the reviews of the CD - keep them coming!
That's it for the mo

Right then,
A few of you probably wonder what is happening with the news page and things
- sorry for the irregular updates. I'll get better, honest.
The world keeps turning and we want to keep walking right on the path that
there is for us.
NEWS:
So as for the news, well after a month of doing various gigs and things, we
are now looking at a few weeks of practice and hard work leading up to the
25 April - when we hit Edinburgh (Powerpoint), Aberdeen (Harlaw Academy) and
Perth (The Flow) over three nights.
So, we hope to have a few new tunes for you and you can get the chance to sing
along to the stuff from Illuminate that you've been listening to since you
got it....!
VIDEO?:
There has been some chat of us getting a video together and we'd love you guys
to be involved.
Send us an e-mail to let us know you are keen.
SHOPPING:
If you haven't heard Illuminate, check out the MP3 link, and if you want to
buy it on-line, you can get on to WesleyOwen.com or CDBaby.com and get yourself
sorted out.
That's about it for now.
Peace.

Caught in a trap...
October 17, 2002 7:47 pm GMT
...unlike Gareth, we are not suspicious.
It's getting closer, but the new CD, to be launched on Room 3 Records, is stuck
in traffic...as it were.
We will keep you in touch and DON'T worry.
It's coming.
Stay in touch.

The day is drawing nearer when the new IE album will be available. Can you
believe that?
This is some journey that we're on, that's for sure.
We'll get some new MP3 excerpts onto MP3.com in the next week and you can hear
for yourself how it sounds....
Look out Durham, we'll see you on Oct 4.
What a laugh,

Enlightening
August 26, 2002 8:01 am GMT
Well it's been a while (about a month actually). Sorry about that.
Things have been a little busy around here:
CP has been taking the IE word out there, travelling to Teen Ranch, Belfast
and a most places in between.
Rik has been beavering away on the design stuff for the NEW ALBUM PROJECT.
Gary and Andy have been working hard in the studio getting the audio stuff
moving nicely for that same NEW ALBUM PROJECT.
Not a lot of other details at the moment, we're playing this one close to make
sure that we get you the best sounds when they are good and ready.
Keep in touch, and if you're near Crieff this weekend, we're doing a wee acoustic
gig....
Which is nice....
Peace
The Chef
